About us

We are a group with a large estate in Vila Franca do Rosário, just 25 minutes from Lisbon, home to three venues: Casa de Reguengos, Quinta do Casal Novo, and Our Quinta—the latter offering on-site accommodation.

The group also owns Herdade das Sesmarias, located in the Alentejo. A rural retreat with a spa, it features sixteen guest rooms and also hosts events.

Does the venue have car parking for guests?

Yes, each space has its own car park.

Are the venues adapted for people with reduced mobility?

Yes.

Do the venues have air conditioning?

Yes.

In the event of a power or water shortage, does the event end?

No. The property is equipped with a generator capable of supporting all three venues, and we also produce our own energy through solar panels installed at each location.
In the event of a public water supply failure, we have our own certified and tested water source.

What capacity do the venues have?

It depends on the type of service, as a standing/cocktail setup accommodates more guests. However, for a traditional seated meal, the approximate capacities are:
Quinta do Casal Novo – 300 guests, Casa de Reguengos – 600 guests, Our Quinta – 160 guests.

Accommodation

Do you have accommodation?

Yes, the property includes three venues: Quinta do Casal Novo, Casa de Reguengos, and Our Quinta. Our Quinta offers sixteen double rooms, and for this reason, accommodation is prioritized for events held at that venue.

However, for events taking place at Quinta do Casal Novo or Casa de Reguengos, room reservations can be made up to four months in advance—provided there is no event booked at Our Quinta or if accommodation is not required for it.

Do you offer rural tourism?

Our Quinta has sixteen rooms and accommodation is usually reserved for clients of this space or the other two, namely Quinta do Casal Novo and Casa de Reguengos.

Are there hotels and/or accommodation nearby?

Yes.

Events

Does the venue hold more than one event a day?

No.

What kind of events do you organise?

We organise all types of events.

Do you have exclusive partners/suppliers?

No. We make some suggestions, but no supplier is exclusive.

Do you have any suppliers you can recommend (photography, video, animation, florist, etc.)?

Yes, but no supplier is exclusive.

Is there an end time for the party?

Weddings have 12 hours of service counting from the start/arrival time.

What are the wedding start and end times?

There is no pre-established start time. The service will be counted as 12 hours from the arrival time.

What time is allowed for the party? Can it go on into the early hours of the morning?

There’s no set time; the party lasts 12 hours, but it can be extended for an hourly fee. However, the party can also end under three circumstances: if the DJ turns off the music (depending on the contract with the vendor), if the bride and groom leave the venue, and finally, if there are fewer than 10% of guests in the room.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?

In addition to the capacity of the venues, there is a minimum number of guests depending on the time of year and day of the week.

Does it have a sound and lighting system?

Not at Quinta do Casal Novo and Casa de Reguengos, but Our Quinta has a built-in sound, projection and blackout system.

What's included?

Everything a wedding needs on the day. So, what’s included in the per-person price is the following: Venue rental and exclusivity; a dedicated space for the civil ceremony at no additional cost; stationery (menus, table markings, and bulletin board); a free gift or contribution to services such as a DJ, photography, children’s entertainment, lodging, or flowers for 120 or more guests (see conditions); Full menu, including buffets; wedding cake (standard offering) with sparkling wine; 8 staff meals (suppliers hired by the bride and groom); a fire pit for the cake cutting; and an open bar.

Is the decoration included?

We provide material for table centres, tablecloths and markers. Floral decoration is not included.

Is it possible to decorate the space to our liking?

It is possible to personalize the venue as long as it does not compromise the space. For example, it is not permitted to drill, attach, or stick anything to the walls or floors, nor to insert objects into the lawn.

Is it possible to hold the civil ceremony in the venue?

Yes, we have our own space for this purpose.

Are there outdoor and indoor areas available for the ceremony?

Yes, there is always an alternative for rainy days.

And if it rains?

On bad weather days, the venues are adapted to hold the ceremony and/or cocktail inside.

Are there any restrictions on fireworks, confetti or candles?

Fireworks may not be launched between July and September or at times when Civil Protection forbids it, due to the high risk of fire.
Confetti must be biodegradable, both indoors and outdoors.
Candles are allowed inside the spaces, with the exception of the entrance to Our Quinta.

Is it possible to set up a tent?

Yes, as long as it does not compromise the venue. For example, it is not permitted to drill into the floor or fix anything to the walls.

Is liability insurance included in the service?

Yes.

Service

How many waiters do you have per table?

One waiter for every fifteen guests.

How is table service done?

The service is plated, i.e. the dish is ‘assembled’ in the kitchen and served directly to the guests. This ensures that all guests are served at the same time.

 

Food

Is the catering yours?

Yes, the catering is ours and all the cooking is done on our premises.

Do you accept external catering?

No, with the exception of Indian weddings.

 

Do you make your own food?

Yes, all the cooking is done by our team.

 

Do you do tasting sessions?

Yes, at the beginning of each year, it’s held at lunchtime and they taste the whole menu, as well as the wines and the wedding cakes.

 

Is it possible to bring companions to the tastings?

Yes, up to a maximum of 4 people, not including the bride and groom. The tasting is offered to the bride and groom and there is an associated fee per accompanying person.

 

Is there a kids' menu?

Yes.

 

Do you have a menu for vegetarians, vegans or guests with dietary restrictions?

We don’t have a pre-set menu, the menu is adapted to each case.

 

What is the food for the suppliers (music, photography, children's entertainment, etc.)?

The caterers’ meal is exactly the same as the guests’ and is served at the same time as the room.

 

Can I bring my own wedding cake?

Yes, as long as it comes from a certified supplier.

 

Reservation

What is the booking and payment process?

To reserve the date, a down payment is required. The second payment is made one month before the event and is 90 per cent of the total amount. The final payment is made 72 working hours before the party, from which the down payment is deducted.

What are the conditions for cancellation or postponement?

Each case is different in both scenarios, but the deposit is non-refundable in the event of withdrawal.
